Ghostly
A few weeks ago Bruklyn, my mother & myself went to an estate sale about 40 minutes out of town, the place was absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't believe how amazing the house was. Windows in every corner, a creek wrapping around the landscape and castle-like doors. It was amazing. We found really great vintage from the 60's which included lovely dresses, sweaters and coats. I wish I would have gotten photos of the actual house however, just around the corner was Southern Oregon's 'one and only' ghost town. How could we not stop by and snap a few photos there?
The "town" was literally 2 small buildings with a barn type workshop off to the side. I haven't the faintest clue why this place became a ghost town! It seems like a pretty hoppin' area. (;
what I wore:
vintage 1940's dress
thrifted lace cardigan
thrifted flats
thrifted braided belt
assorted silver rings

Kala Noel.

Such a fantastic set of photos!! I love the pretty yellow dress and all those rings! Estate sales are so much fun when the house happens to be interesting and full of cool things to buy.
ReplyDeleteOkay how do you find the most amazing estate sales? Are you just some amazing estate sale magnet or what? I love this! Only you could pull off everything so well. The daisy detailing on the cardigan? Too.much.
ReplyDeleteBruklyn is looking very cute as well!
Thank you girls so much! You are too sweet. <3
ReplyDeleteTaylor- I do a lot of research on craigslist! I type in "vintage clothing" or "vintage clothes" in my area and tons of yard sales/estate sales come up. (especially during the weekend, obviously.) You should try this and let me know how it works for you!
Your thrifted lace cardigan is just darling, the perfect accessory to a summer dress! x
ReplyDeleteYou girls look gorgeous! I love stopping at little almost-forgotten towns, they have so much history!

Ooo you look so dreamy! Lovin' the yellow and white color combo on you. I've also found that driving to the more obscure places yields the best estate sales. Once I traveled an hour to a house of a deceased jazz musician. It was filled with records and WWII era things. It was like a dream.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful! The yellow dress is perfection on you! and Bruklyn looks stunning in purple!! Two gorgeous friends!
ReplyDeletethat cardi is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI really need to go to more estate sales. You look so light and lovely in this outfit. :)

Sounds like you had a fantastic time at the estate sale! Goodness, I still need to go to one myself. I missed one last weekend, and I was thoroughly disappointed.

I've always wanted to go to an estate sale. Sadly, there aren't very many in my area. :( I'm glad you found a lot of vintage treasures though! Also, I really love your outfit. The yellow color is so flattering and sweet-looking on you.
